Detroit Social Media Agency Brand Photoshoot

As a Detroit brand photographer, my favorite clients are the ones I can get creative with. The ones who aren’t afraid to try out my crazy ideas, and better yet, the ones who come with crazy ideas of their own! In my opinion, there’s no point in playing it small. The whole point of a brand shoot is to show up in a big way; to turn up the volume on your brand so that you get more eyeballs on your work.

Enter Tiffany & Erika of Twiz Creative, a boutique social media and branding agency in Detroit. Twiz is all about bold color, bold personality, being yourself, and showing up fully, which made them so fun to work with.

Objectives

Tiffany and Erika wanted to get back to an authentic place where they could let their bold, colorful, fun energy shine, rather than toning their aesthetic down to fit into the corporate world, which they had previously felt pressured to conform to. They also conveyed how important it was for both their masculine and feminine energy to be portrayed in these brand photos.

Through a variety of posing, outfit styles, props, and lighting, we were able to create images that look professional but truly feel like them. Twiz Creative has since used these photos across their website, social media, and services guide.

Locations

1.
Mother Handsome — Pizzeria, bar & Cafe in Oak Park
This cafe is full of highly aesthetic corners, making it almost feel like a content studio. We were thrilled when the owner responded to my email and said we could hang out one day after closing time to take photos! Over the years, Mother Handsome has been a favorite workspace of Tiffany & Erika, making it a special part of their story as a small business in Detroit.

2. My photo studio in Grosse Pointe Woods
We opted for a white background so that Twiz could use the studio photos for various marketing needs and keep the visuals cohesive with Location #1. We kept the props pretty simple, focusing mostly on the tools Tiffany & Erika use for social media shoots, such as phones, small lights, and softboxes.
