Spiritual Brand Shoot on the Shores of Lake Michigan

I love getting to work with other self-starting female entrepreneurs and I have always been interested in topics surrounding spiritual healing, so when the woman behind Clarity with Kelly decided to work with me for her personal brand photos…I was pretty stoked!

Kelly is a somatic healing coach who helps her clients rewire their nervous systems and work through attachment in relationships. It’s Kelly’s mission to help as many souls as possible with embodying their authentic, sovereign, and powerful self. When it came to her brand shoot, I knew that the images had to be epic, to convey the greatness of her work on a cosmic level, yet tranquil, to evoke a sense of acceptance and love for those on their healing journey.

When I asked Kelly where she feels most authentically herself, she immediately answered, “Outside in nature and by the water!”. Knowing that Kelly lived under an hour from Chicago, the gears in my head were already spinning. We decided that a sunrise photoshoot on the shores of Lake Michigan would be the perfect place to capture the essence of her spiritual business while also adding a bit of “cool factor” into her branding.

Kelly made sure to bring some colorful props to help to illustrate what she does but also accentuate the vibe of her brand which is soft and feminine. Her props included books, tarot cards, and crystals which really add some texture to the shots but also align with what she practices.

Lincoln Park Beach ended up being the perfect Chicago spiritual brand photoshoot location as it allows for so much visual variety. We were able to use open sections of the horizon to create feelings of peace and eternal love, while other sections of the beach offered views of skyscrapers which I think added some fun energy.
